Oct 11, 2004 Musty fresh hop aroma, plant-like... semi-mellow palate with a musty and gritty hop finish... reminds me of chewing on hop pellets while brewing... clear amber color with a small white head.

Oct 9, 2004 Pours a clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma is rich and complex with a nice, sweet caramel and earthy hop nose. Body is thin and disappointing with a dry finish and very little sweetness or floral hop attributes. The body just didn’t live up to what I expected from the great aroma.

Oct 3, 2004 Orange-gold body with dense fine particulates. Orange-citrusy hops all over the aroma and flavor. Very novel IPA and nicely subdued. This would be great for summer. Aptly named.

Sep 1, 2004 Copper color with a small, off white, bubbly head and very light lacing on the glass. Strong grapefruit, hops, and lighter sweet malts in the aroma. Taste was very nicely balanced between strong hop bitterness, and sweet malts. Dry earthy finish. Certainly a very nice IPA.

Aug 5, 2004 8/5/04 - 22oz Bottle: Hazy light orange/amber color with a medium eggshell head. Spicy, floral, earthy, grapefruit. Light carbonation, similar to a cask mouth feel, medium to full body that is slick and slides down the throat very easily. Excellent taste to this beer. Medium amount of hops in the taste, grapefruit, floral and earthy notes, wood, citrus hints, and some malt sweetness to balance out the inherent bitterness. My favorite part about this beer is the slight earthy/wood notes that really compliment the biting grapefruit/floral hops. Another quality beer from McNeill’s.

Sep 4, 2003 Light orange amber hue. Small bubbly cream colored head. Nose of floral, fruity grapefruit, earthy hops. Sweet malts first, light to medium bodied, slippery, finishing pleasantly bitter, with an herbal earthy tone. Very drinkable, not too shabby.
