Jun 26, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a dull orange color with a 2 finger off white foamy head. nose is hoppy with some biscuity notes. Hopps are light pine, a hint of caramel. Palate is full and smooth with a light bitter finish. Flavors of piney hopps, caramel, biscuity and bready.

Jun 14, 2009 Bomber PPRBSG09. Pours murky amber with a thin head. Aroma is old stale mildew laden pool water, moldy, cheesy hops, and dull oxidized malts. Flavor is also stale , oxidized and light stricken- light bland toastiness, and wet paper. Pretty bad overall. What the fuck has happened to McNeills?

Jun 1, 2009 [Draft @ Barcade] Poured a clear amber color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, caramel malts, buttery toast, and citrus fruits. Taste of sweet caramel malts, green raisins, pine, grapefruit, and sweet toffee, with a bit of alcohol in the finish.

May 27, 2009 Tap at Barcade: Deep orange/bronze with an off white ring of head. Off aroma- some diacetyl, sticky dark fruits, and butterscotch. Sticky body- a bit cloying. Some fusels in the flavor- diacetyl/butterscotch, bitter fruit skins, peppery notes and alcohol. Restrained hop bitterness. Lacking cohesiveness and possesses too many off (buttery) flavors.

May 24, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a reddish orange color with a 2 finger beige head. Aroma has an earthy funk to it as well as some malty sweetness. Surprisingly little hop note in the nose. Flavor is a nice balance of piney hops and caramel malty sweetness. Some nutty flavor too. All in all, not what I would expect from a double IPA, but very enjoyable.
