Pours a one finger cream head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit hop nose. Flavor is grapefruit hops and hints of caramel. Lingering bitter finish. Needs more malt for a imperial IPA. $3.99 for a 22oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

(Sample Date: 7/12/2009 Source:Other) Bottle courtesy of Dave at Bills on 07-12-2009. Slightly cloudy orange/amber with small white head. Spicy hop nose with some alcohol notes. Medium body and mouth feel. Spicy grassy hop flavor with light caramel backing. Fairly well balanced. Finish is dry with high residual bitterness.

On tap @ Transit Pizza Plant. Copper body, light tan head that fades quickly. Nose isn’t all that big - pine, caramel graininess, a bit of alcohol. Flavor is pine, loads of tingly hop, a bunch of bitter caramel. Long bitter finish. Decent but nothing worth revisiting.

22 oz bomber. Dark amber, slightly cloudy copper pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of peppery hops. Smooth but sharp taste of peppery hops and sugar with a thick sticky mouthfeel. Lasting finish.

22oz bomber bottle from Charles Street Liquors, 10 November 2009. Orange colour. Slight haze. Pours with a huge fluffy head, which settles down to a thin, but lasting off-white layer. Big hop aroma - quite leafy and perfumed. Much more citric - mainly grapefruit - in the flavour. Quite light mouthfeel. Alcohol is quite intrusive - the finish is rather dominated by hot alcohol afterburn. Tasty but a little low malt backing to provide balance. Long on hop attack but short on finesse.

22oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Musky orchid-filled outgassing, rich with Tahitian vanilla bean, peaches, and juicy resins. Pleasant and rich. Pours a hazy orange skin and sunset, with a soapy off-white lace. Flavor develops bright hop-filled alcohols, candied bitter orange peel, drying sweetgrass and a bit of salty salicornia. A thick luscious malt body helps play off the aggressive hop flavor. Spicy and musky as alcohols draw into the nose. This has a wonderful hop bouquet, a well-balanced body, and rich complex flavor profile. Excellent. Some might saw it was a touch sweet, a little hot, and edging dusty, but those edges can easily be overlooked, because this beer done well.

Great to take home and ferment awhile as we sat by the fire. 22oz bomber from the east side, went down great and simple, also carried and ton of hops that made me giggle some, quite an excursion.

22 oz. bottle. Pours cloudy brown amber with tan head. Floral, sweet piney, pineapple nose. Taste is citric sharp, sour finish, fruity / pineapple, quite hoppy bitterness. This is an interesting imp. ipa, certainly different. Pretty good.
