Not much aroma, forms a good head that dissipates quickly. the flavor is a little weak and watery, with not much of a finish.

This is completely unnecessary. A black & tan, by its very nature, should be draught served. With each sip being a unique combination of stout or lager. This watery, faked version of the black and tan leaves much to be desired. Its initial aroma reminds me of a drunken uncle's bad breath. It had a thin and quickly vanishing head. Color is deep, dark brown. I found it very bland and unexciting. It actually tastes like a sub-standard lager mixed with a sub-standard stout!

GABF 2003: Brown/black color without much head. Stale aroma, watery feel, weak cardboard ending.

Thin head which dissapates quickly. Slightly sweet aroma of roasted malts and molasses. Color is a very nice deep mahogany red/black. Flavor is a little thin and sweet with more roasted malts. Finish is a little dry with a slight burnt aftertaste and a hint of coffee. An ok beer but i find if difficult that there is no category for black and tan and this falls under a stout.

Very dark liquid, fine bubble head. Taste is watery, dark roasted malts with a sweet finish. Not worth seeking out.

I had this beer many years ago at one time when I was too lazy and stupid to write my thoughts. I will update this as soon as I get my hands on this beer again.

My dad buys this by the case. I still do not understand why. It's ok, but definately not what I would consider a stout.
