The aroma contains dark European malts, some slight fruit notes, and a hint of butterscotch. This beer is slightly dry and has a light molasses and chocolate flavor. Over all it goes down smoothly and is not bad.
12 fl. oz. bottle (85% stout, 15% lager). Rating #77 for this beer.

Pours dark brown with tan head, roasted flavor throughout. Very average brew, but better than many I’ve had! Capa (970), Yokosuka, Japan
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Dark with a creamy head. Malty, sweet, and not much else in either the aroma of flavor. Smooth and really easy to drink, though. Not bad at all, but it’s just there. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA

Got 2 mugs of about 1/2 dark brown, almost black beer and about 1/2 head. Mildly sweet, mildly roasted, light body and easy drinking. not bad.
