(Draught at O’Connell’s, Tampere, on 2009-08-08) Golden and clead. Small white head. Sweetness, fruitiness and honey in aroma. Malts, sweetness, honey, fruitiness, caramell and bitterness in taste. Sweet and short aftertaste.

Keg 0.25L glass tasted at Vastarannan Kiiski. Mild nose. Fresh Pale golden yellow colour. Pale head. Soft taste. At the end bitter hoppiness. More than average carbonation. Fresh fruity taste.

On draught as "The Famous Belgian" at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 23rd April 09. Clear light amber. Lots of clove and Belgian tripel notes on the nose. Reminds me of Palm. A decent take on a Belgian ale.

Draught at Old Bank, Turku. Clear golden, small firm pale head. Mellow vanilla-esque fruits on the nose, little maltiness, pear, maybe peach. Flavor is pretty lagery with hint of malts, faint rust, strong & harsh herbal bitterness, slight alcohol and minerals in the finish. Some pear, thou not nearly as much as in the aroma. Almost medium bodied, strong attacking carbonation. Filtered Belgian style blond on tap? No no, it goes wrong from the start.

Keg (Gallows Bird, Helsinki)
Initial aroma was simply that of vinegar - yikes. Fortunately that fades to a sweet maltiness. It’s a fairly understated simple smooth sweet belgian ale, a touch fruity. Gentle hops crispen up the taste, and provide some details in the finish. Was expecting worse to be honest, as Meantime don’t excel in keg, but this was pretty drinkable.

Draught @ Vastarannan kiiski, Helsinki. Golden color, white head. Spicy aroma with lemony notes. Spicy flavor as well, with some fruit and ginger. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Not bad.
