Commercial Description:
330 ml bottles. Unpasteurised, but filtered and artificially carbonated. Now mainly sold as Sainsbury's Viennese Style Amber Lager (Summer only).
A 'small batch' copper coloured lager combining lightly kilned Vienna and Munich malts to create a gentle balance of caramel and fruit flavours. Its subtle sweetness and rich barley taste is underpinned by the gentle spice of its Hallertau and Spalter hops.

Bottled. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a low white foam. Caramel, mild flowers, sweat and apricots. Medium to light-bodied with notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted malts and mild flowers. Low hoppiness. Toasted grains, caramel, sweet oranges, flowers and brown sugar in malty but short finish. Not sure what it’s supposed to be but i’s to sweet for me.

Nice bottle, labelled AMBA. Bronze witha small offwhite head. Caramel and raisins aroma. Initially sweet with lots of fruit, some more bitterness, but not quite enough to balance. Nice enough, but a bit too sweet.

Light brown, with a light malt hop nose, light lager hint with a touch more malt to it.

This copper red beer has a lot of foam, that decides that it would be very fun not to stay in the bottle, so it is all over the place like a bunch of rowdy puppies. The aroma has notes of aroma hops, and roasted malt, and the flavour notes of caramel, roasted malt, fruit, candy sugar and the malt is much more pronounced than the bitterness. An OK vienna.

Bottle, bought @ Salling, Aarhus. Dark amber with no apparent head. Sweet aroma with caramel and a touch of hoppiness. Taste is slightly more bitter with some orange peel thrown in for good measure.

Dark red colored, little light brown head. Aroma is excellent: nuts, sweetness, caramel, vinous tones and coffee in aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is not as good as aroma: mild nuts, caramel and hops. Aftertaste has some dryness and caramel.

Floral hops with some orange citrus notes balance against tired toasty, bready malts in the aroma. Clear dark copper coloured body is topped by a thin, fizzy, off white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Bready malts and strong orange hop flavour with plenty of tannins leading to a metallic finish. Dry, light-medium body with prickly, strong carbonation. Bottle (BB 04-Nov-06) sampled at West brewpub in Glasgow (May-06).

Bottle. Pours a clear amber-brown with a fluffy beige/brown head. Slightly sweetish aroma with lots of hops on a malty background. As it warms it gets more sweet and fruity notes appear. Sweetish flavour. Fruity, malt. Feels a bit thin. Finish is rather thin at first, but a mild bitterness kicks in after a while. Dry, grassy and lingering hoppy notes. But pretty boring still. This beer starts out okay but ends kinda dull. 11-09-06.
