Commercial Description:
Avaialable in 330ml bottles only.
May be known as Coffee Porter.
Our first formulation of this beer was the first UK brewed beer to carry the Fairtrade logo, and although we have reformulated it to create an even better blend better the malt and roast coffee flavours and can no longer get enough coffee in each bottle to qualify for Fairtrade status, we are still using the same Faitrade Araba Bourbon beans from Rwanda’s Abuhuzamugambi Co-operative. At the Meantime Brewing Co we love flavour, so it wasn’t exactly difficult for us to see how the scents and aromas of coffee and barley would create a perfect match like just like mint and lamb, toffee and banana, peaches and cream, peanut butter and jam. Serve lightly chilled with as many chocolate truffles as your conscience allows.

Rated from old notes. Very dark brown color, notable coffee aroma. Plenty of coffee flavor, watery texture. Would be much better with more body.

330mL Bottle: Pours dark brown with a large khaki head. Aroma equals coffee...that’s it. Coffee. Nice, but still only coffee. Flavor is again...coffee. Big time coffee and dark roasted malts. A hint of smoke/ash. The finish is a little metallic with stale coffee. Pretty good, the finish is a little odd, but not disturbing enough to damper my opinion. One dimensional, but good...

Big carbantion, almost like a champagne almost fizzy. Light coffee nose and some on the finish, sour and fruity. Very interesting for a porter.

This poured a brownish black color with a tan head. The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, raisins, and caramel. The flavor contains cappuccino, caramel, raisins, and chocolate. This one is very well balanced. The finish has a hint of sourness to it. Overall a very nice porter

Pours black with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is sour, old coffee with lemon. If this is how it is supposed to taste it is very weird. Medium body with moderate carbonation. This might have been a bad bottle based on some of the other ratings.

Pours a dark brown with a thick tanned head. Intense aroma of coffee. Flavour is coffee and vanilla bean. Fantastic oily mouthfeel with a smooth bitter finish. Breakfast beer anyone?
