tlind2 (376), Helsinki, Finland Oct 3, 2008 Rated from old notes. Very dark brown color, notable coffee aroma. Plenty of coffee flavor, watery texture. Would be much better with more body.
KawaBomber (165), New Jersey, USA Jan 7, 2009 330mL Bottle: Pours dark brown with a large khaki head. Aroma equals coffee...that’s it. Coffee. Nice, but still only coffee. Flavor is again...coffee. Big time coffee and dark roasted malts. A hint of smoke/ash. The finish is a little metallic with stale coffee. Pretty good, the finish is a little odd, but not disturbing enough to damper my opinion. One dimensional, but good... jbuzz (578), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 6, 2009 Big carbantion, almost like a champagne almost fizzy. Light coffee nose and some on the finish, sour and fruity. Very interesting for a porter. Shag (1823), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Jan 6, 2009 This poured a brownish black color with a tan head. The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, raisins, and caramel. The flavor contains cappuccino, caramel, raisins, and chocolate. This one is very well balanced. The finish has a hint of sourness to it. Overall a very nice porter smith4498 (459), Miami, Florida, USA Jan 4, 2009 Pours black with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is sour, old coffee with lemon. If this is how it is supposed to taste it is very weird. Medium body with moderate carbonation. This might have been a bad bottle based on some of the other ratings. nate2g (245), Brisbane, Australia Jan 3, 2009 Pours a dark brown with a thick tanned head. Intense aroma of coffee. Flavour is coffee and vanilla bean. Fantastic oily mouthfeel with a smooth bitter finish. Breakfast beer anyone?
