natejgood (141), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 3, 2008 Pours a medium gold color with a large white head made of large bubbles. The aroma isn’t quite what you would expect from a strong IPA. It isn’t as hoppy as many, and it smells a little sweet. The flavor is kind of sweet with a taste of raisins and fruit. There isn’t that much hop to speak of, which is disappointing. This beer puts a lot of bubbles in your mouth. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this as a traditional IPA. It is more of a fruity beer.
chicagodri (542), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 5, 2008 Interesting IPA. Pours a little hazy cooper with a thin off white head. Mild aroma, not anywhere near the amount of hops I would expect. Small citrus flavor and aroma. It is a really smooth IPA though. Interesting. Maybe I got an old bottle since the hops seemed really mellow. baggio (58), stockholm, Sweden Sep 30, 2008 Pours a Orange / Copper color with a 1cm lace that looks very appealing.
Smells of citrus, yeast and hops. Faint hint of malt too.
Taste is very balanced. There’s a distinct taste of hops and malt and again
the citrus, vanilla and flowers. Very complex and very good.
Mouthfeel is smooth with low carbonation along with some dryness and bitterness which lingers there for quite a bit.
Wow! A very interesting IPA with silkysmooth taste and perfect amount
of hops. Dangerously easy to drink, beware.
joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA Sep 25, 2008 25.6 oz bottle. Pours a dense pale orange with 3 cm white head that is slowly diminishing. Aroma of fruit and hops, a hint of something malty. Initial flavor of sour apple and citrus. Ends hoppy and with some fruit flavors. Light to medium body, limited lacing, moderate carbonation, and some alcohol noted, especially with warming. Overall, a very different IPA than I was expecting, very good, kind of champagne like. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Sep 23, 2008 This is a veryflavourful, full-bodied, and well-rounded IPA. The hop bitterness is not as storng as some may want, but it has a lot of hop charcter backed up with a great malty-sweet body.
Golden and bubbly, it’s slightly hazy, with a huge, creamy off-white head that lasts a very long time, slowly shrinking to a smaller top and good lace. The smell is wonderful, ripe green apples, grapefruit, pine, grapes, and honey, with a hint of herbs. The taste is both sweet and bitter, extremely flavour and complex with appel, honey, pine, citrus, grass, orange, jam, fruit. it has a rich sweetness with alcoholic warmth and a a dryish finish that’s hoppy and spicey.
KimJohansen (4294), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Hazy amber with large creamy off white head. Hoppy aroma with citric notes and hints of caramel. Sweet fruity flavor with caramel and hoppy notes. Ends bitter.
