Commercial Description:
330ml bottles and Keg. Formerly known as Meantime Vienna. Originally included in Cascade hops as well as those mentioned below.
100 years ago Pilseners, Müncheners and Viennese lagers formed a trio of major lager styles brewed in central Europe. Gradually the lighter Pilseners swept all before them and Vienna style beers fell into an undeserved decline.
Traditional Bavarian Perle and Spalter hops and delicately coloured malts produce a deep copper coloured beer with a firm fruity caramel aroma, a smooth complex malt character and a long crisp clean finish. This beer is slow fermented and cold-matured over long periods to ensure perfect balance and gentle natural carbonation. Union goes with bread and wheat based foods such as pizza and pasta or more mid-weight dishes like duck or noodle stir-fry.

Aroma: dark chocolate, moderate caramel malt, cocoa, coca-cola. Appearance: small and frothy initial head, off-white and virtually none lacing. Fully diminishing head. Brown body. Initial and final flavors: lightly bitter and sweet. Palate: light-medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and chalky finish. 25s

330ml bottle. Large dense tan blanket of foam that sist atop a base of deep dark brown and copper coloured liquid. Aroma of malt and hops that fills the nose. Tasty with a dry finish that lingers in the mouth. Refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle - 330ml. Dark amber body with low carbonation and a thin off-white foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with plummy and flowery hints. Its hoppy taste is well balanced, but is rather thin and lacks complexity. Ends with a decent bitter finish. Good Vienna.

Bottle at Bistro l’Autre oeil. Dark copper with a thin off-white creamey head. Average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is caramel, toasted malt and hops. Flavor is a very nice natural caramel with toasted malt, floral hops and fruits. Medium body. Well done and refreshing. I really don’t understand such a low rating for this beer.

Bottle @Haket Göteborg: Clear deep red colour, nice head. Aroma: Malty, fruity, citric nose. Flavor is almost the same, creamy mouth feeling, thin body, and a bit too short fruity finish.

Bottled, 330ml from Sainsbury, Banbury. Brown, red beer with very slight head. Quite a thinnish palate to this one, there is a roasty, malty flavour, but it doesn’t fill the mouth particularly, then there is a sweetish caramel, toffee note adding a little richness, the hop is background only, but in the end it does come together as a drinkable beer so reasonable marks.
