brokephibroke (137), Mead, Colorado, USA Jul 13, 2009 The aroma is all honey, sweetish and flowery. It is deceptive as the taste is much more complex. Honey up front, long lasting dry oak finish. Solid. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jan 15, 2008 15 DEC 07, Southeast YeHa. 13% ABV. 750ml (Gewürztraminer Wine) bottle. Bright clear yellow. Aroma of guava paste. Pleasant honey flavor. Finishes dry. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Dec 22, 2007 This one was a cloudy yellow color. Some honey and hay in the aroma. The flavor contains honey with a bit of spice present. The palate is a little on the thin side. The alcohol really shows up in the aftertaste. Overall this was an ok mead. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 29, 2007 2004 vintage: Pours a transparent pale champaign golden with thin legs. Aroma of fresh floral honey with a touch of citrus and clover. Body starts semi-dry as the name suggests with some floral grassy notes and honey complexity. Finishes dry and warming. A pretty decent, crisp mead, but I like a little more sweetness. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009

Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 6, 2006 A hazy light yellow mead - ofcourse with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of honey, while the flavor is sweet with notes of both honey and rosehips. BückDich (4790), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 3, 2006 RBSG 2006 - DC Grand Tasting Lineup
Yellow, clear, nose of honey, kiwi, melon, strong musky alcohol. The honey is always present, but the flavor’s tart and fruity. Eh, not that great of a mead. BuckNaked (1204), Tempe, Arizona, USA Sep 1, 2006 RBSG DC 2006: Pours to a straw-very pale yellow colored body, totally clear. The aroma is honey, an almost sour honey note (that seems to be different from "honey" so I’m noting it as such), mild spices, and straw. Taste is very lightly sour, or maybe acidic, with some light pepper, sour apples, with the alcohol definitely showing through. Wish I had better notes on the body here...
