On tap at the brewery. Malty aroma with an off note. Dark red body with off-white head. Good carbonation. Not much lace. Thin palate. Malt flavored water. Some hops in the background.

Great Red Ale out of Mehana...I’d have to say that I was sceptical at first, but this easily turned out to be my favorite of the 3 Mehana bottles I sampled. brilliant reddish hue and lots of decent sized bubs. I really had to hold off from emptying my glass in the first minuite (the second one didn’t last too long I can tell you) Yummy malt flavour and aroma and something else that I can’t quite hit on. Good mouthfeel. MMMMMM...where’s the keg?

Smells, looks and tastes like a watered down, generic amber ale. No head, no weight in the mouthfeel. Not awful but completely unremarkable.

(12oz bottle) Minimal off-white head atop lightly hazed copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, bread, some prune. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some bread, orange, light raisin. Undercarbonated light-medium body, light stickiness.

12oz bottle. Dark amber color with a light tan head. Very malty, no hops at all. Nice light roast flavor, very smooth and crisp. Good drnker.
