Sweet and sour fruity nose, slightly metallic. Sweet sugarry apricot jam flavor, slightly tart in the finish. Not as complex as Belgian lambics but a quaint sweet fruity refresher. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Pale beer with little head that simply fizzs away. The aroma is very fruity (not surprisingly) and the flavour is sweet and very drinkable. A good beer but the beer could contain any sweet fruit from what I can taste. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2004 Amber color with no head. Fruity, yet not apricot, and malt aroma. Sticky sweet flavor with some real apricot taste. Not too full of depth, but decent enough. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA

It was fresh and tasty not sickinngly sweet but definitly made with real fruit. It is expensive but a real treat. as good as lindemans. Frank (1068), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2004 Spontaneously fermented? Apricot? Interesting... Looks for all the world to be apple juice. What little head there is was almost completely dissapated by the time I was done rinsing the bottle. The aroma is not so much apricot as it just vaguelly fruity, a little bit tart, with maybe just a tiny hint of wild yeast funk. Palate is effervescent and just a hair heavier than you’d expect, say, gueuze to be. Excellent transition from sweet to dry across the tongue. An excellent attempt at lambic from the Brothers Melbourn. humulus (338), Salem, Missouri, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Sep 12, 2004 Aroma of apricot, but somewhat tainted. Color is light copper with minimal head. Tastes like fermented sweet and sour sauce with an emphasis on the sweet......and the sour come to think of it. I’m not kidding, this is "knock you down" sweet. Aftertaste is stale and violating. Bottomline, I don’t suggest exposing yourself to this beer. Unless your into that sort of thing. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2004 Orange/amber coloured. Sweet apricot jam aroma. No Payottenland notes here. The flavour has a slightly sour edge to it which creates a nice balance between the sweet and the sour. Very fruity and rather natural.
