| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 14, 2004 Bottled. Gold, good but quickly dissapearing white head and low condition. Now to me this smells infected, but not in a good way. Granted it has a faintly lambic quality initially in the nose but then a bad wild yeast note intrudes masked clumsily by a sweet apricot note. in the mouth there is some sweet apricot but again the wild yeast starts to offend.Sweet and nasty off flavours in the finish. Not a patch on the Payotenland, it must be something in the Lincolnshire air.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2004 Apricot/peach aromas. Clear golden/amber, pouring a large, frothy off-white head, very nice lace. Peach, plum and apricot flavours, mingle to create a sweet, tart, fine mouthfeel, good tongue tingle. A beautiful example! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 15, 2004 Tastes somewhere between a cider and a lambic. Definately a lot of fruit taste, sugary and sweet. Not as complex or sophisticated as I might like, but worth trying out if you want something with your desert. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 14, 2004 Clear medium orange color. The smell is a fairly good mixture of an apricot/peach with a lambic aroma. High carbonation like the kriek, with a sugary, jolly-ranche flavor as well. Ok at best. lilannie (383), State College, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2004 Aroma: smells of fresh apricot juice, along with the smell of walking into a vitamin/health food store
Appearance: very light golden yellow
Flavor: slight apricot flavors, accented by a great watery flavor--not complex at all
Palate: watery, slight carbonation bite, with weird watery vitamin/health food smell aftertaste.
Overall, not very good. i agree with JagerQueen when they said it was "more like a cider than a Lambic." probably wouldn't buy again. Syd (901), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 30, 2004 Bottle pours a crystal clear yellow amber with a minimal head and some lace. The aroma is somewhat funky and apricot like, but nothing real strong. The flavor is sweet and apricot like, not very sour - but sour enough to notice the Lambic characteristics. Only slightly funky. The palate is quite sugary and syrupy. Overall, Samuel Smith should leave the Lambic to the Belgians. JagerQueen (123), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2004 A pure golden color, the exact color of apricots. Aroma a little sour, I didn't detect much of the apricot until I experienced the flavor. Taste not what I expected, more like a cider than a Lambic. Not too bad, but I would choose another over this one any day. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 20, 2004 Pours a dark golden color with a quickly fading soda head. Effervescent and fizzy, with an aroma that is slightly off kilter but still has a lingering lighty and fruity apricot aroma. At times somewhat medicinal and syrupy, and astringent in the nose. Fruity, and syrupy in the flavor, with some effervescent fruit flavors, and also at times some figs and dates in the flavor as well. Finish is somewhat tart and sour, somewhat enjoyable, but not my favorite of the night.
