It is bubbly light amber with a fairly big off-white head that lasts a while, diminsihing to a smaller head and leaving a little lace. The aroma is light apricot, yeasty, slightly sharp, dough and crackers - a definite lambic quality coming through with the apricot. The taste is lightly, but persistently,. apricot with the slightly sour yeasty dough, a hint of lemon-lime soda pop and tart apples, then a lightly tart, yeasty grain & apricot finish. All through, it is nicely sweet, sour, and tart, with great balance between these traits and the lambic and fruit as well. It’s a wonderful, appetizing drink. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

Slight sourness followed up by dollops of fruity essence. Magnificent with lots of apricot nose. Shocking that the Brits could make such a quality lambic. louchemobile (16), Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England

I would won’t bore you with my take on the abundant complex flavours.
I ’m a bar-owner and craft-beer evangelist of many years standing and this beer is my secret weapon. When faced with a customer with arms folded who declares "I don’t like beer" I bring out the Melbourn Apricot. The transformation is incredible - instantly people re-consider their entrenched beer-sceptic view.
Beer sellers - put this weapon in your arsenal. cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

And it’s clear too, just like pale yellow american lager. No gunk on the bottom of this bottle, must be a filtered lambic or a krystal lambic, heheheh. Big head that fades to a half big head. Smell is tart and sour fruity. OOOOOH, the flavor of this is fantastic! Delicious and pleasing all fru-fru- fruity around. Not quite like those sweet lambics, a little more near the style of gueze. Wow, nice carbonation. This stuff is refreshing an yummy. Totally enjoyable the whole way thru, lovely. Beautifully sour finish that leaves your mouth puckering - zowwie! Very nice melbourn! I am a sucker for the sweet lambics. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a medium sized golden head. The aroma was sweet apricot with a sour tang. It smelled more like apricot pits than the fruit. The flavor is strong apricot - thick and super sweet. obisbeer (558), Barcelona, Spain
