Cherry aroma, almost like a cough syrup though not as full of alcohol. Taste is like those red SweetTart candies you can get, very nice. Nice dry ending with another cherry accent. anders37 (4746), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2006 355 ml bottle, bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark. A British spontaneously fermented cherry "lambic", hmm? Pours with a beautiful cherry red colour and a large and lasting pink head. Intense and beguiling aroma of sweet and sour cherries. Tastes like, duh ..., beer with cherry juice added, maybe because that’s what it actually is? Fairly sweet, reminds me of Lindemans Kriek, but also with a distinct cherry sourness. Low bitterness. Once you get used to the thought of beers tasting more or less like (first class) cherry sodas, this one (like most kriek lambics) actually taste GOOD! No, I wouldn’t want every beer to taste like this one. But it is a nice change of pace, and certainly worth a try! ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Rich dark cherry aroma. Cloudy reddish color with a very thin head. Cherry start, with a sour hint, finishing with sweetness passing to cherry skins. Swear a hint of mustard passed in somewhere. My kind of lambic. If only the beouf and mussels were here. Well, it’s beef sandwiches tonight, so I’ll sip this slowly. Really nice. Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Bottled. Beer’s a hazy dark rose-brown with a small, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma is dominated by a heavy, slightly medicinal, sweet Ludens-cough-drop-like cherry note; backed lightly with a light malt note of toasted grain, a light herbal hop note, a light-to-moderate yeast note of basement. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter, trace acidic (quite like cherry juice—imagine that) with a long, moderately sweet finish. No sour junk in it’s little Lambic trunk. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively. The net is cherry soda.
