Commercial Description:
Brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, yeast, water, fresh cherries and their juice. Cherry Fruit Beer has a bouquet of fresh cherries. It makes an excellent aperitif in place of dry sherry. Complements carbonnade a la beouf, mussels in white wine, flavourful cheeses.

Bottle. Red colour with a pink head. Cherry aroma and taste. Medium body and a dry finish. Not my kind of beer.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and GregClow - courtesy of blankboy. Cherry pie filling aroma - fantastic and unique! Dark red, no head. Soft, cherry licorice flavour. A fresh sourness made the beer feel pretty light on the tongue, although it was pretty thick actually. Never too artificial, this was one unique fruit beer that I really enjoyed.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. A low-alcohol cherry flavoured UK beer purchased at a bottle shop that has previously provided us with several stale or infected British brews - we we’re expecting much from this one. But it ended up being the surprise of the night. Pours a bright ruby colour with a small pink head. Initial aroma from the bottle smells strongly of cherry cough drops, but once it was in the glass, it turned to an extremely pleasant aroma of sour cherry pie filling. Body is quite full, almost syrupy, but without being cloying. Flavour is fresh with a nice tartness. A really unique and enjoyable beer!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev. Pours a clear deep red with a spare pink head. Aroma of cherry pie filling -- not overly sweet and quite pleasant. The flavour, along with the aforementioned cherry pie filling has a nice amount of hops in there. I can see how this is not for everyone but I really like this! One of the better Fruit beers I’ve had.

Bottle (500ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Really didn’t know what how to rate this - after some thought, I decide I really liked this! Poured clear red with a thin pinkish frothy white head. The aroma emerged in stages: 1) cherry cough drops, medicinal; 2) mouthwatering sour cherries in their own juice, natural; 3) sweet/tart fresh cherry pie. The taste was very much the cherry pie, with a bit of belgian witbier hovering in the background. The mouthfeel was very sticky-sweet, fairly thick. This is a novelty, hard to think of as a beer, it seems more like a cherry cordial, but smells terrific and made a nice change in the middle of an evening’s tasting.

Deep red with a fluffy pink head. BIG sour cherry aroma. Flavor was intense cherriness (like a syrup or pure extract). A hugely flavorful beer... not as much a beer as a cherry-laden malt monster. A great "dessert beer", but not neccessarily worth what I paid for it.

Bottled: medium body, rich looking pour, deep red color with very fizzy pink head, bitter finish. I like cherries, but this was too tart for me. But this is my first lambic fruit beer, so maybe I was expecting something else

Looks like Benadryl tastes like cherries - real cherries at that. For the head, bubbles stack one atop another for several rows and then fizzles away, but you can always bring them back with an aggressive swirl of the glass. Come to think of it, they kind of look like, all together, Styrofoam padding. Now, comparing this so far with Benadryl and Styrofoam may not sound so appealing, but the taste is where things count. Extremely rich cherry aroma and flavor. Sweet, sour, tangy, somewhat acidic, and actually some hop bitterness to let you know it’s a beer. It all becomes a bit too much after a while and a 12 oz. serving is probably better suited to accommodate two people. But for the first six ounces or so, it’s really quite a treat.
