Commercial Description:
Brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, yeast, water, fresh cherries and their juice. Cherry Fruit Beer has a bouquet of fresh cherries. It makes an excellent aperitif in place of dry sherry. Complements carbonnade a la beouf, mussels in white wine, flavourful cheeses.

A delicious blood cherry drink with a nice pink head. Nose is sweet and infused with cherries and the taste is tart and tantalizing... did I mention CHERRIES?

The beer dispenses from the 355ml brown bottle a deep black cherry color with a modest cherry colored frothy head and the residual lace a thin but concealing sheet. Nose is sweet cherry, fresh and crisp, and very appetizing with the start tart cherry sweet and a fair to middling profile, top is light to moderate in its feel to the palate. Finish is biting in its acidity and the cherry sweetness lingers on in the aftertaste, quite dry and a delightful change of pace.

Dark red with pink head. Synthetic sweet cherry aroma and flavor (cheap danish cherry wine) - on top of that some almond essence. Nice mouthfeel.

Red colour, medium head. Lots of cherries in the aroma. Too artificial flavor of cherry-juice.

12 oz bottle. Excited to finally get ahold of this, I liked the other Melbourns so much. Very deep red, large but fast-decaying pink head. Sweet cherry cough-drop nose, strong and pleasant but not quite "real" if you know what I mean. More of the same in the flavor, plus a bit of vanilla and maple, some sourness and acidity to finish. Quite pleasant, highly quaffable, but lacking in complexity or depth; were it $2 a bottle and readily available I’d drink it often, as it is...not really recommendable for the price in the U.S.

I have very mixed feelings about this one. Although I can’t say I even liked it, I find myself giving high marks in nearly every category- first off, it’s beautiful to look at: bright red with a pink head that reminds me of Big Red soda. The head even hung around for a while. The aroma was an enticing cherry sweetness. Very candy like. Although I found it to overall be way too "fruity" to me, I loved the mouthfeel and can appreciate that this must be an incredible panty remover back in the UK- I am not sure if that is a good thing or not ;o

A red beer with a huge lasting pink head. The aroma is sweet and totally dominated by ripe cherries. The flavor is sweet and also dominated by cherries but with notes of wood. The end is dry more than sour, so calling it a kriek is a little far out.

My biggest problem with this was drinking it after I’ve tried NG Belgian Red. This one just was too syrup-y, with a littly too much sweetness as opposed to the appetizing tartness of the NG. Overall not bad though.
