Melbourn Brothers Strawberry 12 oz bottle Medium pour in a tulip glass Recent bottling (?), fielded forever 11/06 Poured a hazy ruddy brown, the color of browned strawberries, with a large mostly lasting beige head. Smelt of strong strawberries and apple juice. Taste was upfront strong sweet and sour strawberries and spicy cloves followed by a strong sweet and sour brown strawberries and moderate yellow cake dessert feel on a long cloying sweet finish. Palate was medium to full bodied, syrupy, lively carbonated, and cloyingly sweet. Overall, its feels like sparkling strawberry juice, or the taste of semi sweet thawed freezer burnt strawberries.

Pours amber into a shaker. Off-white micro head had good retention. Strawberry lolipop aromas. Crisp and dry with sour strawberry jam from front to back. Strawberry is the only flavor I get.

I hated this beer. I chugged it so I didn’t waste my $7 - yea, this crap cost me seven bucks a bottle. Never again!

355 ml bottle. Red orange colour. A slight haze. Artificial strawberry aroma from a distance, but when smelled closely the lambic influences strike at you. Head clings to the glass, but is small and white. Acidic sourish aromas mellowed out by cooked strawberry jam. Intense acidic flavours.

I bought this for my wife to try since she mostly likes sweet and fruit-type beer... Color is mostly red with a purple tint to it., slightly hazy. Visible carbonation is lively and it has a fizzy pink head. Aroma is like strawberries and cream, sweet, with a little hint of cough syrup. Flavor is mostly real strawberry (not artificial tasting at all) and somewhat tart (in a good way - like a berry fresh off the bush). There is a slight sour cherry flavor in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and not fizzy at all. My wife liked this one much better than any of the other fruit beers that I have recently brought home for her. 12 oz bottle, $5.49+tax from River’s Bend.

Pours an amber-brown color with a bubbly, white head. Scent is very strawberry, with hints of wine and yeast. Slightly sour scent. Flavor is tart, but sweet as soda, and pretty strong. It reminds me of sparkling apple cider. I do love sparkling apple cider. The finish is tart, and it leaves a sourness behind. There’s a mild amount of stickiness to the mouthfeel. Overall, it’s not bad, but the flavor is a little bit stronger than I was expecting.

Biggish head over red body. Strawberry aroma with sharpish metallic beer background. Taste is deep, intense, powerful bubblegum, metallic, natural, bitter strawberries with acidic, aftertaste. Incredibly strong taste; rarely knew anything like it. Really good, and wildly unusual. (0.5l bottle.)
