Nice medium brown colour with a nice head. Actually quite good and refreshing, reminds me about the Norwegian low alcohol (4,7%) Christmas beer, moderate malty and some caramel. Not outstanding in any way, just a nice average beer. A bit short on aftertaste.

Deep amber with a a nice head that left decent lacing. Exciting, spicy hop aroma. Malty caramel sweetness offset by good bitterness. Slightly watery, good carbonation.

Light brown colour with a decent white, somewhat lasting head. Very fruity taste, but a bit too sweet for me. I would only drink one of these. A bit watery body with a smooth finish.

A good beer, though not a great beer. Lots of fruit, both orange and more sweet apricot, which is balanced by some hops in the aftertaste. Some info on their web site, but more on their history than on their beers.

Bottle. Dark golden with large, dense head. Quite ordinary beer. It is available in the Norwegian Wine Monopoly stores (Vinmonopolet), but I can’t understand why they sell so much average and below average beer when there is so much good beer to import. Well, back to Menabrea. The nose and flavour is mostly malt, and unfortunately some "can-taste" along with a little hops in the end. (050906)

330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Amber colour, large white head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of toffee and some fruity hops. Flavour is moderately malty with some caramel and tolerable hops, but this is really not much more than "average" beer. Some metallic notes in the aftertaste.
