Bottle, 33cl. Golde, white foam. Good Supermarket’s lager. Sweet malt in aroma, light bitter in the end.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Clear, golden with a dense, white head. Clean, malty nose. Medium body, lightly sweet malts and a somewhat floral hopping before a rather bitter finish. A very decent lager. 180907

First of all, muchly thanks to buddy, El Gaucho for the bottle smuggled all the way from Italy in his luggage! But, my god, this beer is a huge stinky corn bomb. The nose is strong sour mash corn with hints of deisel fuel. The flavors are very strong creamed corn and again that horrific "Colt 45" twang mixed with a robust deisel fume. This corny mess was very difficult to finish...I eventually gave up trying to force mine down. I’m assuming from ElGaucho’s more forgiving rating that my bottle may have suffered a bit in handling...but hey, it’s a beer I’ve never had, right?

This has an extremely pale yellow body filled with very active carbonation and a decently sized frothy head. The aroma is initially skunky, but that fades somewhat to reveal faint traces of grainy malt, corn, and soft metals. Light bodied. There’s some malt presence in the flavor, but mainly it’s corny and bittered by two blades of grass and tin.

33 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Grassy dry nose. Slight sweet malt and bitterhops in a rather grassy flavoured blend. Not bad but not thrilling either.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, yet another great tasting @ Henrik´s] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Clear flat looking body with a yellow color. Aroma of cardboard, light grassy notes, hint of hay, almost buttery like note over the palate. Light to medium bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Light bitter and somewhat sweet flavor. Light dry and bitter finish. 18-09-2007

Bottle purchased at a large sundries shop in Rome. I was pretty excited to find this brew, thinking it was a limited release anniversary brew. I bought two bottles (at 2.5 euros apiece); one to drink and one to bring home for my fellow chicago Ratebeerians. I soon found out that it wasn’t worth the extra weight in my suitcase. Very lagerish aroma. Corn is pervasive in the nose; familiar. Gold body with steady carbonation. Clear as crystal and served in a crystal glass. Excellent lace. Basic and bland flavor. Perhaps refreshing on a hot day, which it was, but by the time I had it I was well hydrated and looking for something more. Very bland, disappointing.
