Very light and easy to drink, not bad on a hot summer day (it was 105f out while I was grilling some steak and drinking one of these). Slightly sweet, A touch of honey and sweet malts, almost no hops, a tiny european earthiness. If I disliked anything darker than an amber this would be a solid beer. Pours a straw colored light to medium golden with a sligltly fluffy head and decent lacing. Aroma has a bit of a salty, olive oil like essence to it which is quite pleasent. Same olive oil essence carries over to the flavor which is a nice change of pace from the regular run of the mill pale lagers. Some sweet honey notes up front with a slighlty salty tinge on the back end. Smooth, clean palate. Not earth shaking, but very enjoyable. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 26, 2005 Golden colored with a thin head. Very malty grain aroma. Flavor is full of toasted malt taste with little to no bitterness. Very smooth and easy to drink. Braudog (3762), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2005 Bright yellow with a castle of white foam protecting it. Almost a spicy aroma, and indeed this beer delivers a more earthy flavor that most European pilsners ... but still rooted in its maltiness. Respectable bitterness in the finish. Typical Italian lager: mild, some malty sweetness and not that much character. 180603 highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia

Pale gold with a short hello-goodbye head. Surprisingly sweet biscuity-malt aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, thin to medium body. Lots of malt on the tongue and some balancing bitterness. Better than expected - but my expectations were low.... (Bottle) Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
