| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 17, 2004 Golden and moderately carbonated body. Its head is thick but fades quickly. Malty aroma with some skunky hints. Relatively strong taste unfortunately characterized by metallic flavors. Honest bitter palate. Nothing more than an average eurolager, and not very different from most of the italian lagers. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Apr 21, 2004 How many ways can you say, "skunked out yellow lager"? Hmmm.. wait. I'm pleasantly surprised. Frothy off-white foam, tangy hops a bit of dortmunder must and mineral. Off crisp and a bit of vegetable sweetness. Not bad! Ernest (4497), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 13, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body
is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, grain), lightly
hoppy (herbs, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body,
watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. A bit grainy and
metallic, but the assertive bitterness and Hallertauer nose helps.
Definitely drinkable for an Italian lager. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 13, 2004 Pale amber with a frothy white head. Aroma was of a poor American macrobrewed beer. Weak and watery in the mouth. Almost without flavor. Definitely without merit. CEZ (372), Milano, Italy
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 1, 2004 [on tap] Golden body, medium carbonation. Medium-sized head. Rather weak aroma, mostly malty (biscuit?). Taste is clear, with a good maltiness and a decent crisp finish. Nothing original here, but the beer is drinkable and refreshing, especially from the tap. This one may have been a bit underrated: I'd take a Menabrea over a Peroni/Moretti ANY day. bluevegie (2215), Perth, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 26, 2004 Updated: Jun 17, 2004This beer presented well when I poured it into the glass, nice golden colour with a large white frothy head. And that is where it ended, wasn't wrapped in the aroma, and the flavour that followed was no better. Unbalanced grainy taste. presario (2996), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2004 Sharp initial hop aroma from the bottle. Replaced in the glass by a light fruit scent. Thin looking slightly dirty yellow-gold. Dirty colour but clean and clear. Light foam and lacing. Pretty decent tasting basic lager. Nice balance of sweetness and hops. No bitterness but a light taste in the finish.
