Bottle, ABV 7.5%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Reddish brown colour, moderate head. The aroma has notes of brown malts, caramel, dark dried fruits and oak, quite nice. The flavour has brown malts and rye bread, a little caramel and oak, not very sweet. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for a beer of this strength.

66cl bottle shared with gf. Clear brown, smooth offwhite head. lacings. nice. slightly metallic, tobacco, nutty, caramelly, brown sugar, sweet malty, faint syrup. flavor is slightly buttery, caramel, toffee, faint roasted malts, sweet malts, strange aftertaste that is quite spicy instead of roasted or sweet, which i would have expected.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber-brown colour with a nice medium sized creamish beige head leaving a good lacing. Sweet well toasted maltiness in the aroma with caramel and grains. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and bitter with a good toasty maltiness, caramel, hops, grains and some alcohol. Dry bitter finish.
