Pours a mostly clear orange amber with a fluffy off white head, some spotty lacing. Nose is pretty much your standard marzen, a little roasted malt, and light hop presence......this one had a very light touch of yeast. Flavor was roasty with a slightly metallic finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, copper colored body with a finger-width, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is some moderately sweet caramel malts and fruity, spicy hops. A light toasted bread and yeast too. Not bad at all. Flavor is quite impressive. A moderately sweet malt up front before a good amount of spiced fruits come in. Slightly bready malts and yeast as well as a good amount of toasty caramels. Finishes with a little more bitterness than most Oktoberfests, but blends nicely with some toasted malts and sweeter caramels. Lingers for a good amount of time after a medium to full, smooth body and mostly dry finish. Overall, a hoppy, yet malty and toasty Oktoberfest. Rich and smooth with lots of flavor. This was surprisingly good! Block (379), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 28, 2009 The label reads Mendocino Autumn Seasonal Oktoberfest....it’s very smooth, has a delicious initial taste, and follows with a delicious rich, malty flavor. I recommend trying if traveling near the northeast. Great for a Fall brew. McGarnigle (313), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2009 My label says "Autumn Lager" not "Oktoberfest." Rust colored beer. Rich on the tongue with relatively low carbonation. Malty, but not too sweet thanks to the German hops. A bit too heavy though, given that the taste isn’t huge; I feel weighted down.
