Offered a nice sweet aroma with some roastedness and very light hops. At first tasted thin but then built up slowly into a nice chocolate and dried fruit combo. Nice blend here. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA

[Another great tasting session @ Papsoe] Average beige creamy head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of dried fruit, hint of berries, sweet chocolate and coffee. Over the palate roasted malt, vinous, hint of liquorish. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Sweet coffee and dried fruity finish. 7 / 3 / 8 / 3 / 15 dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Pours black with a thick off white head. Dry roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt taste, the ale thins the body out, making it very easy to drink. Kind of like a black and tan that was not poured correctly. Finishes with a hint of hops.
