| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Something of a chocolate aroma with some toasted malt and dark fruit. Very dark brown color with a tan head that did some lacing. A slight sour note as the glass approached the lips. The body is medium and the carbonation is fairly smooth and moderate. The flavor is toasted malt, with a little chocolate, and some persistent, possibly citrus, sour. The finish is dry, with toasted malt and a reasonable bitterness. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Pours like a cola. There is nothing offensive about this beer. It is just kinda lame. A little roasty with a touch of earthiness. Very smooth but not much goin on here. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA

Fruity, citrus aroma with some malty notes as well. Tastes smooth and roasty with a nice bitter aftertaste. A great everyday beer in my opinion. footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Dark brown with almost not grey head. The subtle hiss of the top predicted no fizz. Sweet malt, chocolate, but quite a bit of prune. No noticeable hops. Maybe some weak fuggels? comes off like a strong porter. A bit flat, thicker than water, drinkable. Big sweet malty prunes and raisins. A bit of cola acidity. Light in terms of body. Clean finish, a bit of roast. csbosox (1081), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2007 Aroma is sweet malt and fruitiness with some roasty, nearly burnt notes. There is a faint lactose aroma present too, though I doubt it is used in the beer. Pours brown with dark copper tints and a huge sand colored head, easily 3 fingers at first. Taste is mildly roasty with dark fruits and a caramel sweetness followed by more roast and a touch of lactic tang. The finish is roasty with a touch of dark roast coffee and 70% bittersweet chocolate. The aroma takes a while to come out. Not exceptional, but fairly tasty. At $1.99 for a 22oz, I will end up buyinh this again. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
