Not too bad for the price. Kinda like a light stout treading into porter territory. Easy drinking. Smells great and goes down smooth. Definitely getting some roasted coffee flavors that disappear quickly. Doesn’t leave a whole lot on the palate, but that’s not always a bad thing. Very drinkable, albeit a little average tasting. Decided to try it because when I go to Ballast Point for growlers fills, I occasionally get their "Black Eye" which is half Black Marlin Porter and half Big Eye IPA.

Clean black colour with burgundy highlites and immensetan head. Tart fruity hop nose. Well balanced bitter coffee and chocolate and hop taste with bitter esspresso coffee malt finish.

Bottle. Wasn’t sure when I saw that it was really cheap, 2.50 a bottle. I was suprised, but didn’t really expect how malty it wounded up being. Nice malt flavor though.

$2 big bottle! Great deal - a malty sweet mollases and a lil roasted uts, coffee porter aroma. tufty tan head on a mahogany beer. nice coffee/coholate flavor. Rich, milky-velvet palate. Nice - what more could one want from such an affordable black and tan?

Sable with a light tan head. Nutty, chocolatey nose, some roasty malt. Malty, nutty flavor, somewhat sweet, maybe a bit of cocoa. Nice.

So I had this after a slew of drain pours, but I still really enjoyed it. Tasted like a stout, but easier to drink. From bomber thanks to beastiefan2k. Very dark pour with tan head. Nose is roasted malt with a sweet rosted flavor. Palate was very appealing. Nice.

Very dark brown, a bit of ruby light shines through. Rich tan head. Nose is rich malt, slight plum/rum, fruit (strawberry), hints of chocolate. Flavor is plummy, caramel, rich malt, some dark fruits. A hint of cocoa in the finish.
