The aroma is very Bazooka bubblegum with potent malts and caramel action. The color is dark roasted coffee. In this sense it takes after its father, as I see the stout being the more masculine element of its pedigree. The flavor is rich and creamy with dopple-bock like prunes and a nutty "brown" element. It is quite refreshing like it has an touch of mint leaves. The palate is hoppy in the most serene way. This is the kind of beer you could easily curl up with and put on a happy, sparkly-eyed buzz. Nose has litte bit of bubblegum in it and some coffee. Its more carbonated than the B&T’s im used to but its okay. Flavor has citrus, syrup and some raisin. I don’t know but i think i got ripped off cuz a bottled pint was $4 something? robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

Definitly a Decent Ale. An Odd Parody of a Brew...You’ll Enjoy it And Most Likely Pass it By Upon Seeing it Again. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

I’ve never been a fan of the black and tan, or half and half, or what-have-you, and the whole concept seems pointless to me. Porter is good, as is stout, and if you’ve got an excellent ale, hooray! Why mess around with mixing them to make one less of what it should be?
But, as for this...Appearance: deep brown color, with a full, thick morass of toasted brownish foam.
Aroma: alert and lively, fresh and nutty, hints of cocoa.
Taste: mild, but still flavorful, full of nutty, slightly chocolatey sensations. Body is medium to full, flavor is smooth and fruity, finish is long and tasty.
A passable combo, but doesn’t surpass what each beer is on it’s own.
