| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Nice dark brown color, medium sized tan head that had a good hangtime then faded to s small but somewhat bubbly lace.mildly malty aroma with a slgith sweetness to it,and a decent hop showing.Hoppy flavor with a decent chocolate and some mild malt there even seems to be a bit of a spicy side coming on as the brew warms up a bit.Not a bad brew at all, fairly smooth and easy to drink.Well worth trying again. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Bottle. Medium tan frothy head and fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. Uncarbonated, opaque and a dark brown hue. Aroma was malty, caramel and burnt. Malt, coffee, roasty, smokey, light mild hops and some bitterness in the end. Smooth and dry palate. No lacing. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2004 This bottled brew poured a large head of medium sized mostly lasting light brown colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was nearly opaque and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malt caramel and was nice. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly and smooth with a caramel malt flavor and a lingering slightly tingly crisp palate with a hoppy malty aftertaste. Its flavor contained vinuous malty caramel and hoppy notes. All -on-all it and was tasty. JPDIPSO (4925), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2004 I’m feeling blond, as I thought the bottle indicated "The Ultimate Blond". What a surprise upon pouring. Chestnut brown in color with With a dissipating light tan head, that settles to a small lid with some decent lace. Hints of roasted malt masked by mild floral and citric hops. Fairly smooth, but a touch spritz late in feel. Mild roasted malt flavors mingle quite well with a the pale sweet malt giving the impression of a black and tan. Alcohol is quite evident in the finish and takes away some momentum. Mild coffee linger. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
