The aroma is sweet molasses, some nuttiness, caramel, a bit of roasty malts mixing in, sweet dark fruity esters of dark grapes, cherries and plums. The taste is very similar to the nose with molasses and caramel sweetness mixing with dark fruity Concord grapes and ripe cherries. The roasty malts and nuttiness peak out from time to time. I also get mild hop bitterness and faint malt astringency showing up in the finish. badlizard (2362), Berkeley, California, USA

Guess not...Anyway, pours a dark brown that allows some light through. The head is a finger or two thick creamy and tan. From smelling this I’d say its either not really a good beer to begin with or its been in the store a tad too long. A little of both? Smells sweet, bready, a little funky. The flavor is unimpressive, earthy, sweet, lightly waxy bitter feel. Eh aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
