Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Sweet aroma of hard roasted malts and a touch of vanilla. Medium body, plenty of hard roasted malt and again a touch of vanilla. There’s a distinct malt astringency in the finish. 191207

Bright dark brown with light reddish notes. Relatively chocolatey aroma that is also slightly nutty and has some fruity notes. There is also some stronger alcohol notes in there as well - a function of the Eye of the Hawk, and to be honest I’m sure what I think about high alcohol notes in a medium strength beer. Somewhat thin, nutty, lightly chocolatey. Light but balanced. Slightly dry accent.

Red black body topped by medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, coffee. Finish is mild coffee bitter. Medium body. It’s not bad, indeed it’s quite drinkable. At the same time, there’s nothing standout about it.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark and see through brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Weak aromas of roast, nuts, and coffee. Tastes of chocolate, roast, coffee, and citrus. Body a tad on the thin side.
