| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Bottle-A subtle type of stout, is there such a thing? Solid black color, I was able to hold it to the light and noticed some brown/red coloring on the edges. Aroma was typical roasted smell rising through the off white head. The palate was creamier than a typical stout with the expected roasted malt flavoring. Old notes, Produce Place Ibrew2or3 (2761), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2008 12oz bottle pours dark dark brown with infra red edges and light brown head. The aroma is mildly roasty and burnt along with larger notes of molasses, toffee and buttered bread. Wow, I really like the flavor. I get notes of roasty to burnt to dark chocolate notes that run along with sweet molasses and malts. Midway and to the finish the burnt malts build to overcome the sweeter notes and become nearly burnt toast. rustychiles (1056), Mesa, Arizona, USA
