Jun 2, 2008 Pours a dark brown, almost black with a small light brown head. Aroma of malt, coffe, chocolate, roasted barley. Flavor is slick chocolate, coffee, roasted barley and a touch of woodiness. Not a bad sessions stout.

May 24, 2008 bottle. pours dark with little head... some malt and sweet coffee aromas. medium body with a solid hop presence. very sweet... yet extremely easy to drink. Not an excellent beer by any means, but a solid sessionable stout.

nice black pour, smokey, roast malt, witha touch of chocolate and coffee in the nose. Flavour is bitter, and roasty, with lots of nice coffee aftertatse. The body is a tad thin, but overall a nice beer.

May 21, 2008 Pours brown/black with a long lasting tan head. Aroma is pretty nice, with toffee, caramel, toast, peanuts, subtle dark chocolate, and just a trace amount of hops. Tastes of coffee and a slight astringency followed up by peanuts, almonds, dark chocolate, lightly charred wood, and a bit of saltiness, almost like a scotch ale that doesn’t work for me. Finishes mildly burnt, dark coffee, and the hops dry out any cloying tendancies. Medium to light palate, carbonation seems a little high at first, but eventually evens out. Nice easy going stout, with a variety of flavors (with the saltiness being annoying).

May 15, 2008 Pours a deep, black colour with a large tan head. Aroma is sweet, nutty, roasted malts with a strong caramel character. Mouthfeel is relaxed, creamy, soft and pleasent with a soft pepperiness somewhere along the taste. Semi dry, but not dry like they say it is- dark fruit, light chocolate taste with a noticeable raisin flavor.

May 8, 2008 bottle poured into a snifter has a thin head that quickly fell to a ring in the glass. very dark chestnut brown color that looks good. aroma has dark malt, light coffee roast, molasses, and back round hops. mouth feel is medium light with frothy carbonation, not as thick as i would have thought. there is dark bitter malt, roast and this overlaid hops. it is more along the lines of a porter with hops added. second beer of there’s tried and both have this sorta soapy flavor that i think comes from the hops.

May 4, 2008 It has a decent body and the cloring is ok. The scent is foloral a little coffee notes. Overall I didn’t care for it though I was able to finish it. Too hoppy and I am just not a fan overly hopped beer.

Apr 27, 2008 2008 Bottle - pours a think black with small tan head. Slight lacing, aroma is basic, slight smoke, slight coffee. Flavour similarly is slight everything, nothing too bold here. I like the dry bitterness of this brew, and I agree that it is a light stout, but maybe light stouts just aren’t for me, probably won’t drink again...
