Some light around edges of glass gives brownish hue. Light body with crisp black patent mouth. edgy hop touch for finish. A thin bodied stout, nice to drink all day while doing projects in the basement. My bottle says brewed in Saratoga Springs NY. LinusStick (1844), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2007 It’s been a while since I’ve had a dry stout. Not bad but there are better out there. The aroma was of roasted malt but not too big. The pour was dark brown with a thin tan head that said "No" to lacing. The taste was heavily carbonated with a thin mouthfeel. Tastes of dark roasted malt and coffee with a heavy bitter aftertaste. Had this been a little thicker it would have scored a lot higher. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Pours dark black with ruby highlights. Solid roasted malt aroma with a flavor to match. Smooth, but a little light for a stout imo. benvenuto (13), Lauderdale, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 2, 2007 Clear pour, with a small head and little lacing, the the head clings nicely to the glass, Dark Carmelized sugar flavor and coloration.
Love the smell, quite nice and fresh burnt caramel coffee aroma.
Ignoring the nose, the taste is bitter on the the tongue with a distinctly penecillin finish. Nephilium (553), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2007 Slight hint of coffee to the nose, pours a dark black, with hints of ruby when held up to light. Almost no head, with minimal lacing. The taste is a bit like Guinness, with a roasted flavor to it. Overall, a decent stout. kaseyk (20), jenkinsville, South Carolina, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2007 Dark brown stout with some roasted, maybe smokey/burnt, coffee beans in the aroma. Flavor was quite good with a nice balance of chocolate, coffee with coffee and a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Needs a creamier, thicker mouthfeel but at 5.2% and its bitter quality it’s easy to drink. tgncc (818), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2007 Decent stout, but not remarkable. A little thin for a stout. Otherwise pretty typical. I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to get it again.
