Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts and some toffee. Also a bit spices. Flavour is spices, caramel, roasted malts and coffee. Some slight bitterness in finish. It feels slightly sweet and the palate is quite thin. Good stout, but nothing very exciting. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2006 bottle 12 oz. This stout is OK but nothing to write home about. Not very far into medium bodied, somewhat thin with a moderately sweet stout flavored hardball candy aspect to it. Hops & bitterness noticable but I like bigger stouts. Wouldn’t hesitate to drink again if it was the only show in town. (after reading some ratings): Yes...I got a touch of licorice as well. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Disappointing from the pour, a slow tilted pour that caused a 9 inch glass with 99% bubbles. Never seen that one before. Regardless, nothing special about this one. Typical chocolate malts and such. Nothing creamy about it, actually a little choppy and thin on the tongue. Shows some nuttiness, but too much burn from misplaced flavors. No thank you.
