Aroma is creamy and floral, with subtle sweet malts underneath. Flavor is very sweet, almost fruity, slightly watery, with a dry semi hoppy finish. Overall, I found it somewhat enjoyable, but the sweetness is a little too much for it. Juelze (922), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Pours a dark brown color. Smells of milk chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, sweet malt, mild hop flavor. Almost milky in character this beer is pretty creamingly smooth. A bit thin in the finish but pretty good. madmacs (2), Lanesborough, Massachusetts, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2005 I am not a man of many words... This is a very drinkable stout. Smooth, inviting, and dare I say refreshing? Only lays on the tngue and never hits the pallette! A stout for a summer day if I may say so. ...The Power of the RIFF compells me! Odeed (1680), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2005 Deep brown/black pour with a little caramel head. Aroma was quite weak, with a little coffee and roasted malt present. Beer was light-bodied (almost watery), with some chocolate, coffee, and roastiness in the flavor. Slightly bitter watery coffee finish. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is light, but chocolate accented with mild dark roasted malts. Body is black and has a bubbly two finger thick mocha head that diminishes slowly. Fore is watery, but the flavor is better than I recall...roasty and chocolate accented, but it feels steeped like a tea due to the thinness of the body. Carbonation is a touch high and tongue tingling because of it. Serviceable.

I don’t get much coffee in the aroma. Just an alcoholish bitterness. Pours nice with a big creamy head and a black body. Flavor is decent. very mild espresso flavors, big bitterness. Too thin to really wow. Decent enough, but not stellar. Saarlander (1588), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
