| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Aroma is a dark chocolate malty sweetness. Pours very dark with not much light tan head. Body is thin and flavour starts subtly with malt and coffee. Lingering mild hop bitterness and faint acerbic aftertaste. Some notes of nuts and toffee. Flavour does drop off rather quickly. Enjoyable to drink with good flavour but not very long lasting. Rciesla (3621), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Very thin stout. Little to no body. Not much flavor in their too. An old school brewery that keeps falling short. coyotehunter (548), , Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Lovely aromatics of malt and puppy breath.
weak malts and a hidden background of hops delight ones palate in this weakly carbonated somewhat lifeless stout.Caramel and coffee dance around the outside of the party yelling Im here! Im here!.....but only their smell makes it through the door. A much better beer than Red tail ale, but still not great.Might be a bad bottle....it was only a dollar after all. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a small foamy head that lasts a while and laces a bit. Light aroma of roasted coffee and malt, along with a bit of chocolate. Sweet chocolaty, nutty malt flavor. A bit thin on the palate. Not a bad brew. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2008 bottle. Light, fizzy-looking dark brown body with no lacing. Asphalt, coffee, chocolate, smelling promising. Thin, fairly fizzy body. Some sourness at the sides of the tongue but otherwise steady roastiness. Not much in the fore-taste. Drinkable but thin. scottw86 (182), Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Poured black with a medium-tan head. Light aroma of chocolate malts and alcohol. Taste was surprisingly sweet. Some alcohol present in the finish. Looks like a stout but tastes like a brown ale. Not bad though. TURDFERGUSON (1602), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Bottle. First rate after the hiatus. Thanks Dave. Pour is mohagany with a light belge ring of lace. Aroma is roasty and sweet milk chocolate. Flavor is a little sweet for a dry stout, with ample roast and nuttiness to complement. I’m going to drink this as fast as I can so I can move on to enjoying a beer.
