| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 19, 2008 12 oz. bottle pour to pint glass. Light gold with thin, quickly disipating white head. I poured two and still got a nearly urine aroma...well, urine with orange. Nice hoppy zing upfront with citrus notes. Malt doesn’t balance too well. Not impressed with this one. elihapa (1066), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 18, 2008 From bottle. Pours a clear orange-yellow with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma of light hops and citrus: good but relatively simple. Front palate features sweet mixture of fruit, hops, and biscuit. Finish is bitter with some soap, grass and prominent bitter hops. I just can’t get used to Mendocino’s trademark finish. I noted it in their Red Hawk, White Hawk, and this beer; i is bitter in an unpleasant way, dry, and soapy. Nevertheless, this wasn’t that bad an offering. Decently crafted, enjoyably light.) 3.0. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 12oz bottle pours straw gold with weak white head. The aroma is initially sweet and malty quickly followed by some sweet citrus candy and light dark fruitiness. The taste begins with an orange citrus hop flavor bite. For a few moments the sweet malty backbone struggles to take over the flavor. By midway citrus hops and some pine hop bitterness grows into the finish. The after taste lasts for some time containing almost exclusively orange peel and pine hop bitterness. Very nice pale ale. blutt59 (2145), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2008 The color is a cloudy orange with no head at all. The nose has some sweet esters mixed with bitter hops. The flavor is nice and sweet with caramel malt and some apricot citrus but nothing too potent. It is also nice and bitter initially but fades to a sweet fruity finish. Overall it is well balanced but the finish is a bit watery. chandler0201 (351), Durham, North Carolina, USA
