Nose is thickly sweet and it reminds me of cooking sugar slowly. Flavor is bitter. Kind of a roasted edge to it as well. Pretty well bodied and not too bad at all. Smooth feel. Very easy to drink. Not a mind blower, but it’s fairly nice. gotohelunc (476), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Smells more like a lager than any pale ale I’ve had. I wasn’t expecting anything from this before sipping, but it really wasn’t bad. Nice hop profile, a bit of spice, and a nice clean finish. All in all, it’s not anything super but it is more interesting than many cheap beers and it’s pretty tasty. jetboy (32), USA

Nice cloudy golden color with a strong white head. Flavor is very clean with strong hoppiness which is right up my alley. Nice body that is what I expected from the color. Overall I will definitely drink this one again it had a great taste with the strong hops that I love. cheapdark (2049), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Just love the name and label of this stuff. Pours pale yellow and clear. Has some sharp veggie cabbage aroma. Sharp bitter aroma carries over to the taste. Acrid bite builds. Eventually comes on like mild IPA. Bitter linger lasts on back of throat. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Maybe its just me, but I like a pale ale with a little more body and a little more hoppy bite. Not that this is a bad beer in the least, but it’s definitely not one I’d be inclined to mention in a letter, attempting to describe the rich character and nuances of american pale ales to someone living in a far and distant land. The best thing this beer has going for it is its’ somewhat complex palate. Yeast and hops mingle for more than a moment to create an interesting swirl. Then it fades away. It’s a good beer, but that’s about all I can say. I’ll hang my hat on it for a minute or too, but then I’ll move on to find that great one. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

Flavor of hops, malt, yeast, hops, and bread. Good carbonation all around, bitter but fleeting aftertaste. Session! DTM (541), Winters, California, USA

Went down smooth, since there’s not much too it. More hops and a little more flavor would have made this beer much better. timfoolery (484), California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jan 10, 2008 For a pale ale, this one just didn’t have the full, hoppy flavor that I would expect. Instead, this brew tasted one-dimensionally bitter with no flavors to speak of, maybe soap. It’s redeeming quality was a smoother taste with medium carbination. Very average.
