Commercial Description:
Blue Heron Pale Ale is a delightful, medium bodied smooth ale, with a distinctive crisp mouth-feel and a fresh hoppy finish. It is brewed using premium two-row Pale malted barley, generous amounts of both Cluster bittering hops and Cascade finishing hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. Blue Heron Pale Ale is "Bottle Conditioned."

Pours gold-amber with a small head. The hop aroma is strangely earthy, like an English pale. Not bad, though. The flavor is sharp and somewhat stale. (I saw the case come off of the truck, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a bad bottle.) Maybe it’s the Clusters. Great balance for an American Pale, but the hop taste is too strange for me.

This has the proper bitterness of a Pale Ale. It has its malts butthe hops is where this beer really shines. Very nice

Pours light golden with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus hops, and lightly toasted honey malt. Taste of grapefruit, toasted malt, and flowery hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly resinous. Too much hop juice for me.

In the bottle at Bill B.’s birthday party. Bright gold with a white head. Fruity papaya aroma. Good tartness up front bringing a tongue tingle. Mild bitterness yields at the end. A yummy good beer.

An alright beer. Has some hops but honestly not enough for me. So, i would say the 50% rating is about right because it is average.

Pours a cloudy amber color. Aromas of hops and malt. Flavor is like the nose, mellow malts with hops.
