Sunrise yellow, with a big white head and daffodil aroma. Very balanced and tasty pale ale. Light, spritzy and with a citrus mouthfeel and a sharp, bitter finish, with a real hops presence. Drinkable and refreshing, but with some depth. A good all-rounder. flutetokill (515), Fresno, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2004 Golden color with a ton of sediment and a medium off-white head. Light citrus and malt aroma. Strong grapefriut hops, ash and malt flavors. Highly carbonated. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2004 Light golden body with little head. Aroma was somewhat off, and due to this and the appearance I almost wrote it off. But then the flavor comes bursting with Cascade hops leading to a sweet and bitter finish. Nice surprise. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2004 Very clean looking light gold color. Smells very doughy. Also a nice cascade hop aroma. Very good hop bitter flavor with a slight bready taste. Not a bad pale. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2004 Yellow gold with large sticky white head & lacing. The aroma is nicely hoppy & full aroma'd (cascade?). The flavor is a little tart and astringent with a light bitterness along with a crisp malty note that waves as it passes by. Not too bad, much more flavorful than I was expecting. Skip (206), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2004 Smells of Northern Brewer hops. Reasonably pleasant taste, but an astringent and unpleasant aftertaste. If there were some barley evident on the tongue, this would be attenuated. Tends to be cloudy, and is found brewed under license in Saratoga Springs, NY as well as from its California home. If fresh, California is preferred. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2004 Dark yellow, thin head and some sparce lacing. Pleasing hop aromas. Cascade or centennial hops. Citrus notes with some malts. Bitter hops join the fun in the flavors. Citrus is still hanging around as well. Nice, but a bit unbalanced as there was no malts really. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
