| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2003 Pours a cloudy blond with a medium, sturdy, white head. Nose is hops and not much else. Maybe some grapefruit but not much above that. More hops on the tongue and the grapefruit becomes more pronounced. There may be a slight bit of malt creeping in but this too is dominated by the hops. It's not too bitter and doesn't leave much of an aftertaste. Decent beer. slang (399), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

bottle once again. Great, easy to drink pale ale. Nose is nice of fruit, hops, and yeast. Medium alcohol w/ smooth hop bite. Very enjoyable and drinkable to the end.
Decently thick off white head. Golden ale. Strong bitter hops bite, and lite scent and taste of apples(definatly citrus too). Enjoyable and drinkable, works good with a dry mouth. There are better pale ales, but great for an american. jimhilt (1683), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2003 Pours with a two-fingered head and leaving a ton of lace. Light cloudy amber color. Hoppy nose, starts and finishes hoppy and bitter - you were expecting something else with a pale?? Malt may be there but it is hidden along with any alcohol overtones. Good carbonation. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2003 Hoppy and malty with a bitter finish. A decent APA, I've had better and I've had worse. GEOBRAU (182), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2003 Bottle: a slightly above average APA on the high end of the bitterness scale. Apple and pine aroma. Piney-spicey hop flavor with noticible malt backbone. A good beer but it dosen't distinguish itself from the other APA's. carboloader (319), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 1, 2003 Pours cloudy gold with huge foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma is as much malt as hops. Flavor is earthy pine with something else I couldn't identify. Finish is bitter and somewhat astringent. Middle of the road to me. wildchefbill (244), Sarasota, Florida, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 21, 2003 Pours clear gold with a large sudsy head. Nice yeasty/citrus aroma. The flavor starts very non-dimemo and finishes with an unpleasant hop flavor that is piney to the point of a soapy flavor. The mouthfeel is thin with heavy carbonation. An unpleasantly off aftertaste follows. Even though I enjoy heavy hops, this beer needs more than just bitterness to be good.
