Poured a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. There was a mild grassy aroma. There was a nice crisp clean taste. Nice and refreshing. There was a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Not too strong just enough to make this a nice crisp refreshing hot summer day beer. There was a decent amount of lacing for a thin head.

There is absolutely no reason to purchase this beer: except to add a rating!!! Lemon yellow color with a small white head...this beer boasts moderate hops and watery consistency. Not interesting at all.

Nice label picture of a heron taking flight. Dark gold pour with lacing. Robust and pleasant aroma - complex too, with pungent notes in with the sweet malt and hops. Full-flavored, with malty sweetness, grains, and orange. Brisk, grapefruity hops in the closing. Soft but tingly mouthfeel. Another high-flying ale from Mendocino/Saratoga! I’m not sure why this brewer doesn’t get higher marks on ratebeer - they please my tastebuds pretty much every time.

Bottle. Pours gold with white head. Nose of citrus hops, yeast, fruit. Taste is citrus with a nice sweet malt backing. Finish is hoppy bitter. Body is medium and smooth.

Had this beer many times. Was always a fan of this Pale Ale. Nice clearer stle beer. Nice flavors of just a bit of hops and some grassy taste also.

Citrus hops and doughy yeast in the nose. Clean yellow appearance. crisp clean palate, flavor leans to the hop side of things. Has American lager-like aftertaste, unfortunately.

An attempt an IPA, but is a little weak with a bitter aftertaste. Bitterness strikes me as sour. Not disgusting, but not very good either.

This is a fine example of Californian pale ale in my opinion. While I’m not the biggest fan of this style, this one’s good. Very hoppy and bitter with a flavor frighteningly of grapefruit. Leaves a pleasant, tart aftertaste. I dig it.
