changeup45 (525), Orlando, Florida, USA May 1, 2008 Golden colored with a thin head. Very weak aroma; it’s fresh, clean and kind of wheaty but there’s just not much there. The flavor starts with a relatively strong malt profile then turns to bitter hops and finishes dry. Interesting. There’s quite a bit of flavor for a Pale Ale (which I never guessed from the aroma) but it does seem a tad unbalanced. Not bad but not sure if this one makes the cut for another try. Too many good ones out there.
Hank1980 (324), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours gold with white head. Nose of citrus hops, yeast, fruit. Taste is citrus with a nice sweet malt backing. Finish is hoppy bitter. Body is medium and smooth. benwa420 (30), Aspen, Colorado, USA Jul 14, 2008 Had this beer many times. Was always a fan of this Pale Ale. Nice clearer stle beer. Nice flavors of just a bit of hops and some grassy taste also. J_DUB (167), Beautiful Pasadena, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Citrus hops and doughy yeast in the nose. Clean yellow appearance. crisp clean palate, flavor leans to the hop side of things. Has American lager-like aftertaste, unfortunately. shanepardue (64), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Jul 12, 2008 An attempt an IPA, but is a little weak with a bitter aftertaste. Bitterness strikes me as sour. Not disgusting, but not very good either. Gypsy19 (155), AMERICA RISING, USA Jul 6, 2008 This is a fine example of Californian pale ale in my opinion. While I’m not the biggest fan of this style, this one’s good. Very hoppy and bitter with a flavor frighteningly of grapefruit. Leaves a pleasant, tart aftertaste. I dig it.
