Commercial Description:
Eye of the Hawk is an excellent, strong, rich bodied ale that is "Bottle Conditioned" to perfection. "Eye" is coppery reddish-amber in color and its unique taste is the result of a judicious mix of caramel and pale malted barley, balanced with Cluster, Cascade and Saaz hops. This gives the Eye its luxurious flavor, substantial mouth-feel and that slightly dry finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours amber golden with a slight haze with a small, off-white head. Lovely nose containing fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with lots of caramel and some overripe fruit. Quite delicate really. 300406

12 ounce bottle – poured into a 20 ounce glass. It was crystal clear brownish amber in color and had a very thin white head. The head died almost as soon as it was poured. The aroma is very malty with no hint of hops. The taste is more of the same, but not overly sweet. There are clearly some hops in this beer to balance all the malt but I can not smell or taste them. There is no hint of the underlying alcohol.

Hazy copper color. The aroma is light, fruity, with some toffee. Medium mouthfeel, malty; gets thinner at the end, and more warming (alcohol). Some sweetness and medium-high fruity bitterness. Doesn’t fly.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with a little head. Heavy caramel aroma with notes of sweet maltness. Flavour of toffee, caramel and ends up with a alcoholic finish.

An orange beer with a dying beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with loads of caramel. The flavor is sweet with caramel being most dominant, but also a light touch of aroma hops, before a dry slightly grassy end sets in.

This is HORRIBLE. Retarded mouth feel. Way too hoppy. Not functional at all.
