Aroma is sugary, honey, caramel, and oddly leafy. Citrus undertones mix on the palate with saaz and very spicy alcohol. Not at all well balanced but in keeping with most of their other beers it comes on strong at the end with an empty but very dry bittern kick. This one adds a lingering sweetness but there’s still a vacancy where there should be body, and malt, and lusciousness. Oh well. bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Very slight hint of hops present in the finish. A little too sweet for me, as I prefer more hops. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2005 Effervescent and refreshing on the palate. The beer is an amber color with a thick bubbly head. The beer has a champagne characteristic in its appearance and flavor. Hints of fruit and sweetness. Juelze (912), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2005 Pours a hazy amber color. Smells of sweet malt and dark fruit. Taste is a bit sour with fruity bits here and there. Mostly the malt shines thru with the fruitiness (apricot?) and medium hoppiness. Slightly syrupy overall it’s a good beer but nothing to write home about.
