RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 13, 2008 Pours a clear amber with very minimal head. Nose is like sugary malts. Thick with a syrup tone as well. Flavor is thick with a syrup quality as well. I guess that appeals to the feel as much as anything else. Pretty nice, though the alcohol is a bit much. And the thick syrup tones aren’t really helping either. I wonder if this could smooth out over time.
kassner (108), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 21, 2008 Had this beer at Mad Mex in Oakland. This is a really great beer on tap. Big sweet malt entry, then finishes with a well balanced hop, not to floral and not too bitter. Nice head, copper color with slight haze. thejon375 (79), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 Quite possibly the worst beer I have ever tasted. When they say unique taste, its not a good unique. Would recommend people to stay away from this. AgentSteve (597), Livermore, California, USA Jun 13, 2008 Pours deep caramel with a finger thick, cream colored head. The nose is bready and sweet. Kind of sugar cookie like. The flavor is a bit malty and a touch of dried fruit. It’s a bit hot, but the mouthfeel is pretty smooth. timfoolery (272), Alabama, USA Jun 12, 2008 Bottle from Costco in Woodland, CA. I had this one before, but apparently didn’t rate it. It’s a hell of a good lager and very drinkable. sebletitje (104), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 10, 2008 Color is golden/amber, had a little taste of cidre coriander/apple with orange peel.
