Commercial Description:
Peregrine Golden Ale is light blonde in color, slightly hoppy and is characterized by a tint of a hint of hazelnuts in the finish. Peregrine Golden Ale is the lightest-bodied ale we brew and it is made with 100% Cascade Whole Hops - which gives it that delicate character that makes it a perfectly refreshing spring and summer ale.

For a blond this stuff was not to bad. It lacked flavor and depth but it's a blond.

Hazy gold with small white head.Light malt nose. Foretaste is sweet light malt, ending on a dry slightly acidic note. Quite fizzy.

Bottled. Looked like a blond tasted like a blond. Nothing special here.

Had on tap at Callahan's on June 4, 2003
I thought I read on the board it was a Pale Ale, but when the bartender pointed out it was a Golden, I just said, go for it. Unfortunately, this golden ale was lacking in taste and left much to be desired. It poured a golden hue with good fizziness and a weak aroma. The taste is very weak with a slight sweetness with perhaps a dab of hops. Definitely one to stay away from when you've got DUIPA on tap.

Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow, dense tiny/small particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), trace yeast (cobwebs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Too sweet, but reasonable for the style.

IMO kind of a waste of time to drink. It's so boring, and tastes like a lot of other piss color beers. I just had a Corona before this, and basically (of course there are differences), they taste the same.

I dont quite understand what it is with blonde ales, but i am starting to become completely terrified of this style. This beer pours the lightest yellow and brightest yellow color i have ever witnessed. The head dies very rapidly and the carbonation level is held to an absolute minimum. The aroma is truly funky...i get citrus, flowers, grains and i swear...mildew!!! The taste leads into the same menagerie of confusing flavors...i get wheaty grains, mixed in with wet citrusy cardboard..what in the hell is going on with that??? Overall mouth feel is ok...very artificial sweetnesses, some grains, very thin body feel..but at least its not carbonating me to hell!!! Overall its not all too interesting...these blond ales scare me...run!!!!

Soapy head that doesn't seem to last; brightly golden and clear. Soft texture with a mild carbonation. Delicate, flowery and herbal aromatics. Malts are light and grainy; not very sweet at all. Rich, grassy bitterness in the finish.
