Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

[bottle] One of the better amber ales I’ve had. Hops on the aroma and a long lasting hop bitterness on the finish. Poured a clear, lighter red with a quickly disappearing off-white head.

I liked this beer. Not much head poured from bottle. Hoppy, floral aroma that didn’t last too long though. Cloudy amber color. Nice flavor more on the hops side than malt with good mouth feel. Would drink again.

12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Bottle. Poured a deep amber with a large frothy white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Good well balanced aroma. Medium body. Moderate balanced malt and hop flavor with an average bitter finish.

Grassy, hoppy aroma. Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with minimal white head. Taste is dominated by the hops, is also grassy, and slightly grapefruity. Goes down reasonably smooth. Good, not great ale, and that works for me.

I had hoped this one would be more hoppy but it is sort of bland. A good solid beer but not much in the taste department. Wouldn’t buy again but it is washing down my fries and potato skins nicely.

This beer is just ok. Some hops in the aroma and flavor. A bit of malt detected, but overall not worth drinking on a regular basis.

Bomber from Bev-mo La Jolla. Copper color with medium head retention. Pretty good amount of hop factor and warm mouthfeel due to the 6.5 abv. Tasty ale from a well renound brewery.

Bottle. Since I am a malt lover this beer was slightly disappointing. I loved the initial taste but the strong hops overtook the first taste way too much. Good beer otherwise and should be enjoyed at least once and even though it is not very hoppy it may be enjoined by those who like hops.
